Why did you make this?

I made this site to make Georgia Legislation accessible to more people. I've been so frustrated when I google a bill only to find that the official summaries bear no resemblence to the intention and purpose of the bill. My hope is that this tool will bring more transparency to the Georgia General Assembly by letting the people quickly see the actual purpose of legislation.

Do you collect personal information?

I try not to. The site does store a cookie on your computer that saves your starred groups. There is a another cookie that stores your representatives. But, these cookies are never sent to the servers. The site uses Umami for analytics to avoid the privacy pitfalls of Google Analytics. Additionaly, the site does use the Google Maps API to help find your districts, but we don't save this information on our servers either.

Caveats

While I want the site to be as accurate as possible, please remember that this tool uses AI technology, which can sometimes make mistakes or misinterpret information. Always verify important information through official sources like legis.ga.gov. Do not use this site as the foundation for policy decisions.

Additionally, I only have data that has been sent to legiscan. Bills that have changes made in committee can often have a significant delays before they are posted on Legiscan. I can only work with the data I have. Additionally, content updates are currently a bit of a manually process and I don't always have time to run the update. But, you can see the date of the last sync at the top of most pages.

Data Sources

Bill information is sourced from LegiScan, a legislative tracking service. AI analysis is performed using large language models trained on legislative and legal text.
